Written by Eric Mitchell

Tom MacKay of VMware was kind enough to pass along these useful resources via email, but they're definitely made for sharing.  So please check the links as well as the Shared Documents area of this site.  They will also be posted to the Central Ohio Communities Section of the VMware site.  Thanks so much Tom!  Please feel free to let Tom know how much you appreciate these the next time you see him.  In addition to that, feel free to let the authors/creators know how much you like them.

So here's the email as it was received:

Here are some great reference materials from a variety of authors you may or may not already be familiar...(8MB attached)

First, Dudley Smith’s great Ports and Connections poster as well as his Troubleshooting VI3 map. You can seek updates to this on his blog at http://communities.vmware.com/blogs/dudleysmith

From Hypervizor.com, Hany Michael’s excellent Memory Map for ESX. http://www.hypervizor.com/

And finally, the vReference handy guides by Forbes Guthrie. The poster sized one (18MB!) is available here: http://www.vReference.com/vsphere4-card/

Enjoy!

Thanks!
Tom

We have been evaluating CapacityIQ and I wanted to get some info out to you. Then I was trying to catch up on my podcasts when I heard this one #78.  In the discussion a site is mentions http://www.virtualinsanity.com/ and an article they published.  It is a really good artilce so instead duplicating work I am going to point you to their site's article.  In other news the presentations from January's VMUG have been published under the Shared Documents.  Also to make it easier to keep up FeedBurner has been installed so you can get e-mail from when the site is updated.  Here is a look at next month's meetings:
