July's Meeting of the COVMUG was a huge success!
The COVMUG would like to thank PlatformLab/TechColumbus for once again allowing the COVMUG to host this event at their facility. Likewise, a huge thank you goes out to the folks at CommVault for sponsoring the July session for the COVMUG.
The July session began with an excellent presentation by CommVault on their Simpana product line. Eric Wannemacher, a COVMUG member, followed by a presenting a series of "recepies" on PowerShell and PowerCLI. These recipes are designed to help encourage others to learn about the use of such tools. Ideally these tools will then help increase an individual’s efficiency through automating routine/mundane tasks.
The morning was then rounded out with a very informative talk by VMWare's own Tom MacKay highlighting the features of the new vSphere 4.1 released last week.
Not only were some excellent presentations given this month, a lot of fun was had by those who came out. One community member walked away with the new George Foreman G5 from a raffle, and others in the community grabbed great VMWare schwag during the closing Q&A/Trivia.
One lingering question from this session remained however: Where are all the developers in the community? For the August COVMUG meeting, if anyone in the community is a developer, or knows a developer who may be interested in VMWare bring them out.
All presentations given have previously been posted to this page. Please see the prior post to link back to the presentation slide decks.
Thank you again for supporting the Central Ohio VMUG each month!
